Noctia NH-D15 and NH-D15s

Guest

I was just wandering if there was a difference performance wise between the Noctua NH-D15 and NH-D15s. I know the the D15s is designed to allow for less obstruction, but that's about it.

The NH-D15 performs a bit better due to have 2 fans as opposed to 1 and they run up to 1500rpm as opposed to 1200rpm.

The heatsinks on their own would perform the same.

The NH-D15 comes with 2 fans or does it allow you to add extra fans?

It comes with 2 NF-A15's rated at 1500rpm. The 1 NF-A15 that comes with the NH-D15S is rated at 1200rpm also 1500rpm.

Noctua can send you more clips for extra fans if you contact them.

Can the NF-A15 be switched to a case fan instead?

It comes with the same 1500rpm fan, but retail versions that can be bought separately are 1200rpm.

Yes, it's a 150mm fan with standard 120mm fan mounts.

Oh, thanks for the correction. I remembered receiving a 1200rpm NF-A15 with the NH-D15S but it was probably due to a mixup.
