Currently I have a pair of COP's. I love them as they are my first pair of headphones other than skullcandies and beats. I decided yesterday to expand my collect to include a pair of open headphones. I saw 558 for $130 on amazon. Should I get that or is there a better deal for less than $150?

I had the 558s but then upgraded and I think they're a really good buy for $130. What kinds of music do you listen to?

Mostly EDM but I have a lot of everything in my library and I like a more balanced sound.

@MayflowerElectronics I agree with this, I just had a friend get 700x's and he loves em to death. I think the audio-technica "Ath-ad" lineup has some of the best fitting headphones, since literally no matter what size your head is they'll still be comfy.

700X may be a better option like @Lays and @MayflowerElectronics suggested. There's a Guitar Center near me that lets me demo some headphones, you could test your luck and go there if you live close to one. Audio is very personal, only way to know is to try it for yourself.

K240s are amazing

My dad has those, I use K271's for average use and Grado SR80i's when I want some music in my life. K27's are great for closed, but the SR80's....

I've played live on stage, and I've listened to one or two bands. Let me tell you, those Grado's make you feel like you're at a concert every time. Can't use them for recording though, as they have a HUMONGOUS amount of bleed. Any audiophile should definitely at least try a pair (or get the cheaper SR60i's, the only difference between the two is the cable)
