less performance?

So i recently bought a new motherboard and processor but when i run valley benchmark i get a lower score? 

 

I went from a:

• xeon e3 1220 v2 
• ASRock pro3 gen3 motherboard 

to a: 

• i5 4460 
• Asus H81-Gamer Motherboard

why has my performance dropped and is there anything i can do to fix this?

The i5 is about the same speed(within 5%.) You didn't upgrade your cpu, you got the same thing.

Well I edit so I needed hyperthreading but I thought I'd see something in games too

Neither of those chips have hyperthreading. There the exact same chip. The i5 is clocked 100mhz higher, but there identical otherwise.

You basically sidegrade instead of upgrade...

 

This is why you need to ask/research before making any purchases, not the other way around.
