Forget about the bios ones....

Use hardware monitor/core temp/real temp to find your idle temperatures + what its like when you are on games etc.

i have a i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz  1.36v~1.37v that is cooled using a Hyper 212 and a single fan.

and under max load with prime95 it hits about 72 on the hottest core

and around 38 on all core when idle.

so this should give you some idea. remember newer chips put out less heat on stock but more when OC. or when turbo boost is engaged.

Thank You. Isn't Ivy just a bit hotter as well. Not to mention depending on the wafer and manufacturing of the chip it self.

Thank You

You are not looking at true temperatures.

Bios temps mean nothing.

i think i got lucky, this is one of the early chips and i can push this to 5Ghz if i wanted to and it would be stable. but then i would need a AIO water cooler of some kind. used to have one but it failed. went back to the trusty old hyper 212.

The main question is, how is the Hyper Evo 212 Plus in your opinion? Many say it is great for the price.
