I just looked up on the s7 page but from what i read i doesn't have an IR blaster

hmm phones are ditching the IR blasters nowadays but you could probably go with the s6 active. oh i just researched on some phones the lg v20 has one as well, solid phone to purchase.

If you are saying the phone manufacturers are removing IR blasters are they replacing it with any other things similar?

A kid in my school got detention (or maybe even suspended) from changing the language on a projector to spanish using his phone's IR blaster
