Best bang for buck 1440p monitor

charlie.mike25

Hi guys,

I was wondering what you consider to be the best bang for buck 60hz 1440p right now?

Is it worth going korean for 50 USD less than an ACER 257HU? Should i go 1080p ultrawide? 4k for a 100 bucks more?

I'm not really sure about what to go with here.

I plan on pairing it with a RX 480 or a GTX 1060 for some light gaming ( diablo 3, football manager, motorsport manager ) so i don't need 144hz, and regular internet usage. Movies and and productivity aren't really what I'm looking for, and I would consider 300 USD my max budget.

Thanks

4k for sure, mostly because of this relatively cheap 4k 27" free-sync display, only downside is TN, but modern TN is pretty good, although since most games are going to be ran at 1080p, I'd maybe just save some cash with an RX 470 until Vega/1080ti

It's $330 atm, sometimes on sale for $300

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I have the QNIX 1440p monitor. Yes it is, very much worth it imo, and very OCable as well, I love mine and I have had it for 2 years now with no issues. I got mine to 100hz but I downed it since I do not reach that in terms of FPS to 90hz.

Got a Skylake CPU (k) Here is a guide to OC it!

I used to own a Qnix Q2710 PLS panel and it was a great monitor but it did suffer from IPS glow and backlight bleed but that was to be expected at the price point, it offered great value for money at the time of purchase.
