Problems remembering what I Read

Anyone else have a problem were when they read a book or something else, they forget instantly what they just read. Like I would read a page then after, I would forget what that page was about. When it comes to so in English class i always fail my quiz no matter how hard i try its always been this way, I forget what i read. Or like when the teacher gave us something to read then after they tell us to talk about it. But i don't know what to say cause i have forgot what i just read.

Yes. I have this issue with things I can't imagine. Normal books with story that goes in front of my eyes instead of letters is different for me. Even though I don't remember what I read I still know what happened as I have "seen" it.

It however depends on how interested I am in the content. If I am forced to read something then I will be spacing out not knowing what I have read.

Not as pronounced. Usually when I'm reading a book I read fairly quickly (haven't measured but I finish a 400 or 500 page book in about 3 days reading maybe 3 or 4 hours per day) but I pause a lot. Often an idea (either related to the book or otherwise) pops into my head and I catch myself re-reading the same paragraph over and over and at that point I usually stop, go take a look at Facebook or something, go to the bathroom and resume after 5 or 10 minutes and is back at my usual rhythm.

The one exception is when I am just far too tired to concentrate on reading and I notice that I start falling asleep or being unable to retain a paragraph after several tries even after taking said small break, at that point I know my brain has had it's fill and I just stop for the day usually.
