I am looking for new headphones that are good for portable use that have good sound quality. My budget is $400 and that includes an amp if necessary. I don know what sound sig I like, I am looking for a closed back around the ear pair of headphones. I was looking at the DT 770s or the MSR7s any other suggestions?

Never owned them, but an audiophile friend had one and a high-res Walkman, damn, some HDTracks releases sounded amazing. If I had to describe in words, it was like an opaque pond of deep bass, and then the high notes were like thousand lumens flashlights being thrown across the lake making a beautiful arrangement of light beams.

I can already tell you're sitting here reading this and being like

erp.png

what

so TLDR THEY SOUND GREAT
