Just looking for maybe a few suggestions. 

 

Case - inwin 805 black

Cpu - Intel I5 6600k

Hard drive - WD 2T black

SSD - samsung NVMe 950 pro 256 ( this may change to the new 960 at release depending on price if I haven't ordered yet)

PSU - Corsair rm750x

RAM - Corsair vengence 16 gigs.

Gpu- I want a 1070 however budget will probably only allow for a 1060 or 480.

 

And here is the problem. I'm stuck on the mobo. I hate the black and red colour scheme most mobo have now a days. Originally I was looking at the gigabit gaming 5 but can't do it due to colour. I'd like a mobo with the white and black theme in the same price point. I was looking at the asus pro gaming aura, the msi gaming pro carbon, and the asus 170a.  Something that won't go over the 200$ can if posible.

 

Suggestions. Recommendation.

The Z170A from Asus is perfectly fine. Also, a 750W PSU is fine for 1070 tri-SLI (not possible). A 550W is more than enough for a single graphics card.

Budget. 2 grand or under. As it stands I'm sitting at 1500 without the GPU and a 200$ mobo. At the time the power suply rm650x and rm750x were priced the same which is why I went for the larger PSU.  I also want to do some Over clocking and a custom water loop in the future so I'm building the system with a bit of room to expand.

@Thread212 would you recommend the asus z170a over the Msi z170 gaming pro carbon. I noticed that's the board you have in your signature. Do you like it?

Yes I know that the PSU is overkill the 650 is the same price and the evga g2 650 is 119.99 and the 550 is  109.99. Having more power to upgrade later won't hurt and the PSU won't draw more power then it needs if I'm not mistaken.

I was just wondering if the 1070 was overkill when paired with your display, but you should be just fine with a 1070 since your refresh cap is probably 80 Hz. I have an LG 29um68-P that's overclocked to 80 Hz. I found that your monitor can do 75 Hz, so I'm assuming that it will go up to 80 Hz as well.
