CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 @ 3.7GHz

RAM: Corsair ValueSelect 8GB DDR4 @ 2133 MHz RAM

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-H110M-DS2 DDR4 Motherboard

GPU: ZOTAC Nvidia GTX 1060 AMP! 6GB GDDR5
PSU: Seasonic S12II-620 620W Power Supply

Storage: SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB + 5400RPM 500GB HDD
Case: Segotep LUX ATX Gaming Computer Case (Black)
Fans: 3x 120mm Blue LED Fans (Included in the case)
DVD/CD Drive: My USB powered DVD/CD Drive if I need to access DVDs or CDs
Monitor: Acer 18.5" S191HQL Monitor

I have two options of changing the GPU and PSU:
1. ZOTAC GTX 1060 AMP! 6GB GDDR5 + Seasonic S12II-620 620W Power Supply (I feel 620W is a little overkill)
OR
2. ZOTAC GTX 1060 Mini 6GB GDDR5 + Super Flower Leadex Silver 550W Fully Modular Power Supply (The Mini might get quite hot due to its single fan)

Please help me decide which combo I should choose for my new build. Thanks!

You're at least the second person I've noticed planning to use that RAM. I just now finally looked it up & wow is it basic lol, will get the job done though. I'd go with the Seasonic PSU over Super Flower as I've never heard of the flower brand. It's always better to have a little more Watts than you need in case you ever overclock & to account for hardware degradation. Even the Titanium PSU's don't give their max rated power forever.

I don't remember but the ValueSelect name definitely rings a bell, personally I prefer HyperX RAM for it's low profile heatsinks & decent pricing.

The Tier 1 one is the Leadex Gold, I'm not sure about the Silver.

But it's Super Flower, all their PSUs are T3 and up.

The monitor I listed was from my more-than-five-year-old PC so I might as well still use it and its still in great condition

Here's the thing. At that resolution, a cheaper graphics card like an RX 460 will do just as well. There is no point getting a 1060 if you're not getting a better monitor.

So I recommend one of the two:

- Just get a cheap RX 460 or GTX 950 right now, it will easily give you high settings for you monitor and it will be considerably cheaper. Later on when you have more money, upgrade monitor and graphics at the same time.

- Get a 460 or 950, and a 1080p monitor. You will be playing at lower settings and framerates, but you will enjoy the benefits of higher pixel density and more room to work with when you're not gaming on your computer. You should be able to find a 1080p IPS monitor for around the price difference, so that you're still on budget.
