Hello to everyone!

Premise (skip if not interested):

So, most of my life I was a guy who always wanted a PC at work, because they always where way more powerful and much cheaper, and also my home PC was powerful enough to handle any work I needed to do outside the office. Recently I found myself in a peculiar position that my work PC is much more powerful and things I'm doing daily my home PC can't handle, and I always was in a peculiar position of not being able to upgrade my home PC due to other expended that took precedence (for last 2 years there is constantly something more important).

So right now I often need to take the work PC home to do the work, and that is not convenient at all - it's the "smallest" notebook ever :D Basically, I now have an understanding why I need a powerful notebook, and am in position of ordering what da hell I want (I own the business and will be passing my PC to new people joining the company).

The meat of it:

I'm looking for a balanced work&play notebook that I want to use at work and home. I decided that I do not need a home PC to play - these days there are powerful notebooks that will cover my needs. The problem is, I need a very beefy CPU too, and as far as I can see those come only with some very ridiculous configs that cost over 4k$.

What I want is a quad core CPU, 16/32 GB RAM (probably 32), a 1060/1070 graphics card (probably closer to 1070) - I would like a 1080, but then the cost just skyrockets. And a 512/1TB NVMe SSD without any HDD - I just don't need those. And everything that fits CPU wise, usually is closer to 4k, because they force a 1080 on you (or even a SLI of them) - although I would like that, I'm not ready to spend 4k even if that's company money. Screen wise, I just need a good screen that I can use when I'm not at home or office - I have much better displays than any notebook will have.

Location: Europe, so I need to by in confines of EU to avoid double taxes and all kinds of import taxes.

Any ideas?

AHEM! 7th Gen Intel CPU, should have pretty good integrated graphics. Plus it depends on what games you like to play.

Go do your research

HD 520 can not pull anything at decent frame rate at all except for old games

As the other person said, no dedicated video card. I would consider it, if Razer Core alone didn't cost more than a 1060...

I would like to run Doom :) And I need the video memory for upcoming Factorio HD update, that one will need me to have 2 to 4GB of video ram, so I do need a dedicated card.

Let's just say, that built-in graphics chip is not going to cover what I would like to play. I do consider going 1070 way, but 1060 power level is absolute minimum I consider.

I would recommend the Razer Stealth with the Core, battery for working, power for gaming!

Yep, a bit overkill, but you can actually configure that mofo as you want.

But they are US based company - I didn't find any on Amazon.co.uk and the shipping from their site is... Well, see the screenshot bellow...

Nobody in this fucking chat has a clue what they are talking about. You can promptly ignore every single one of them. Except SCAMAZING on his sager recommendation. @SCAMAZING your RBS stealth recommendation was bad.

The problem with everyone recommending the Razer Blade is that it's thermal system is flat out incapable of handling the 1060 and will not only damage components internally due to high heat and also MUCH lower performance due to thermal throttling to shit left right and center.

configure this how you want.

Where do you live in the EU. There are other Clevo retailers that can be cheaper in your region.

Latvia, Baltic states region. I can order pretty much anywhere from the EU, as long as it inside EU economic zone :) (although ordering, say, from Poland or Chezh Republic is not the same as from UK or Germany :D)

Thanks to you both for the suggestion, this actually looks very promising.
