Should I pull the trigger?

I really want at least 36" 4k 16:9 monitor (above 60Hz) or 34"-38" 21:9 QHD (above 60Hz) monitor but the problem is the 4k I want doesent exist and the ultrawides that are there have a lot of problems right now for how expensive they are. There is still one I am hoping to be good and that is Samsung CF791 but that one doesent have G-Sync but Free-Sync which I wouldnt mind but for the price.... it is not out yet though.

One eShop in my country has ASUS Rog Swift PG279Q for €755 (tax included) .. usualy it costs around €50-€100 more. It is IPS 1440p 16:9 27" with 144Hz native and ability to OC up to 165Hz. The specs are godly but I really wanted to go for big monitor. Since I am rocking two 23" 1080p 60Hz monitors right now I feel like the 27" wont be really a big of an improvement and I would still have to keep one of my 1080p monitors. I was hoping to go for single monitor which I could use as multiple monitors thats why I wanted that 4k or Ultrawide while also being able to play games on high refresh rate (of course not the demanding AAA titles). I know that I may want too much maybe but I dunno how long I would have to wait to get my dream monitor.

Should I pull the trigger on the ASUS or is there something better I dont know about?

I really want to make the upgrade but I also dont want to regret it few months later .... so I am in a pinch.

Can a 770 run high fps and graphics with games on a giant 4k monitor? I'm not up on that stuff.

Spoiler

Q: Do I have a virus?!
A: If you didn't click a sketchy email, haven't left your computer physically open to attack, haven't downloaded anything sketchy/free, know that your software hasn't been exploited in a new hack, then the answer is: probably not.

Q: What email/VPN should I use?
A: Proton mail and VPN are the best for email and VPNs respectively. (They're free in a good way)

Q: How can I stay anonymous on the (deep/dark) webzz???....

A: By learning how to de-anonymize everyone else; if you can do that, then you know what to do for yourself.

Q: What Linux distro is best for x y z?

A: Lubuntu for things with little processing power, Ubuntu for normal PCs, and if you need to do anything else then it's best if you do the research yourself.

Q: Why is my Linux giving me x y z error?

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

the acer X34P should release this quartal, i hope they fixed some problems of the x34 series so it can be an enjoyable experience

with 34" IPS 3440x1440 gsync 100hz ( out of the box ) with a price ~1.2grand its still too pricy, asus and acer... they need some competition

the pg279q sounds good too but i heard about many backlightbleed problems

I havent heard about the X34P. Is it supposed to be the improved X34 with better quality control? If so then that would be definitely what I would go for even if it did cost more.

EDIT:

looked it up.. yes it is and it also is supposed to be more curved which is nice.

Arrrgh! So I decided to wait.

I already wanted to go for new monitor last year but then decided to wait. Since I was able to endure it for almost a year now I will wait couple months more then.

the x34A was already a bit of improvement but still has many bad reviews with lightbleed or dead pixels etc "bad lottery panels"

even 3440x1440 on 60hz is great on ips is immersive

keep your eizo or benq as 2nd display and use it for monitoring ;)

I plan on keeping my EIZO but that BenQ is only VGA so I can use it just with iGPU and also it is shimmering a bit since the signal is not perfect. I dont mind it much as it is just secondary display which I got used for very cheap and the TN panel on it is quite good. I just don't have space on desk to put third monitor there so I plan on selling it then.
