This post comes from a country called Pakistan, we're right next to Afghanistan so we cant really ship whatever we want from Amazon or return things we dont like ?

So the decision of buying a new PC has to be precise and really budget effective (foreign exchange)

So ideally in december 2016 what should be the ingredients of my $2000-2500 Video editing PC.

I have a Asus G750JS who has been my solid companion but now i need to expand my work and a laptop wont do.

Much love and thanks from Karachi Pakistan ?

Are u only doing video editing? or u do some gamign aswell?

Since ur budget is kinda high, i would definitely go with the 2011-3 socket from intel and a 6 or 8 core cpu with 32gb of ram!

A decent Power supply (Atleast a gold one)

Video editing 4K, after ecfects, premiere. I Wont be playing games on it no, but heavy duty video renders yes

Well theres a parts list anyways

AMD just announced new workstation cards, no clue when those will be out

the RX 480 is another option, mostly because it gives you 8gbs of VRAM on the cheap, not sure how much a workstation card is really going to matter for video editing, hard to find actually reviews/info on that, it's mostly for the 4 display port connections as you should invest in a good amount of monitors sometime for productivity

of course if you go with the RX 480 you can at least run games as an option

All that's missing here is some hard drives for mass storage and the case is just personal preference mostly, it does have 2 hot swap hard drive bays which may be useful for archiving your data

I went on the pakistani computer store that's online and everything is so fucking expensive. I just got a 1070, 6800, mobo, and there was only 60 000 rupees left in his budget. (so about 400 dollars - but it won't be as much hardware since prices are so high, so maybe 32 gigs of ram)

You don't need a 1070 for video editing

for premiere at least as long as you have some kind of GPU you'll get decent acceleration
