CS:GO skins

Can anyone tell me why people care about CS:GO skins THAT much?! Just my classmates would take a knife skin even though they don't even have a mechanical keyboard, like, people actually value virtual items over something they can feel, touch, customize and buy something that only exists in a game's database. JUST WHY!?

People just want to show off n stuff.

Other than that they aren't worth it and Specially when you talk about CSGO knifes, there are limited amount of steam users who actually bought it from steam market. Rest of them are those who got it from unboxing or trading.

And believe me these knifes are not worth when it comes to steam market because there will be few people ( who are actually stupid ) who gonna buy $200 ( with real money / steam wallet ) knife from steam market. LOL
