Hi guys Im just wondering if its the normal temps Im currently using a 6700k and noctua u12s to cool it so I stressed test it for just 5 minutes and my max temp was 74c...It wasnt overclocked just stock clocks

I wanna know if I would re seat the cooler will it make any improvement of not?thanks!

this seems about right, maybe a little on the hot side though, but nothing catastrophic. try running the stress test for a longer time and see if the temps rise higher.

to be honest, as long as you don't experience any thermal throtteling you should be fine!

It looks like you're running stock settings. My CPU actually peaks about as hot on stock settings as it runs on a 4.6GHz OC @ 1.37v... weird stock settings on the 6700k if you ask me. Voltages go WAYYYYYY higher than they need to.

Are you also using 6700k?

was thinking of replacing it with corsair h100i v2 is it any good or do you recommedn any AIO that use 2 120mm fans

That seems hotter than it should be. What are your specs and how is your system cooling laid out?

Have you tried reseating the cooler?

That is the cooler I'm using. its pretty awesome. But like I said earlier, don't worry about your temps at stock, the 6700k stock settings tend to make you worry needlessly. try some manual voltage settings and clock settings and see what your temperatures are like, then decide if it makes you uncomfortable.

Same thing I noticed, HWMonitor and CPU-Z showed my stock voltages running around 1.4v when stress testing, I bumped the clock up to 4.5 Ghz and dropped the voltage to 129V and i'm running cooler now then at stock settings.

So I just re seated the cooler...I took some picture of the thermal paste before applying a new one...what do you think was it enopugh or did mess up? lolxD

1.4v is pretty high and is the reason behind your high temps.

I KNOW, that kinda my point, at least for me and the guy I quoted we both saw VERY high voltages at stock settings and as a result we where able to both increase our clock speeds and drop the voltage and end up with lower temps, maybe the OP could do the same or at the very least even if he stays at stock speeds go in and tweak the voltages to as low as possible while still being stable.

Oh, my bad. I mistook you for the OP since you two have pretty similar profile pictures.
