Hello Guys

This is my First Time installing an AIO Cooler.. It's a Thermaltake 3.0 performer.. My concern is that my CPU Temps in idle is a bit high in my opinion.. Room temp is 24*C then the CPU Temp is 49-50*C on Idle...

All settings are put on auto on motherboard.. except from the Fans which is running on FULL Speed. Re-applied thermal paste twice.. same temps. Can Someone Please help? Running an Intel Xeon 2683 v3 ES.

Monitor data is in the txt description below. Thanks a lot. now on this data.. room temp is 22*C then CPU temp is 47*C.

EDIT: Asrock x99 extreme 4 is the mobo.

32GB Corsair DDR4 No OC.

700W TR2(Thermaltake) PSU.

Check what mode you are running under control panel (Performance usually will run max freq. on cpu) try balanced or power saving and check temps again.

Not sure about INTEL but AMD has options there for the CPU you can make it run max freq. all the time or scale (but i do it in control panel. )

Are you sure your cooler has compatible pins and its running really max speed ?

i've checked the rpm of the pump... it should be  2900+-150 RPM  based on the website specs..

But i'm only gettings 2000 max on hwmonitor.

You may want to check users manual and make sure is all connected and placed correctly.

Check the block is secure to the CPU tightening each corner evenly.

when you stress test is the air coming out of the rad warm/hot?

yap. i tight it evenly.. the thing is when i boot it up it says 50*C on the cpu.. even though i've never turn it on for a while.

stress test using Intel Burn... the air coming out is warm.. not that hot.

It might be normal temps for that CPU let me have quick google.

What was temps after the stress test ?

Because if it under 82.5 degrees your good :)

it's just worries me, cause i've upgraded from x79 xeon 2670 and my idle temps are not that high. 40-45 with just hyper t4 cooler.

That AIO is the smallest they make.  It's adequate enough for general cooling, but I wouldn't expect the traditional "water cooling" temps from it.

I also think that you may be looking at Package Temperature, which is generally quite a bit higher on all x99 chips and especially one like yours with 14 cores.

Put a load on the CPU and check temps again while under load.  If temps start to rise above 85c (Package Temp) stop the test and reevaluate.  If they are below, you're good.

oh.. then what i should look at? (pacakge temp) because the cpu tin is the cpu socket itself from the mobo. and it's somewhat close to the package temp. if you can recommend other temp softwares then i will be looking at it. Will Do thanks a lot.

If you can see your Package Temp then keep an eye on that as it will generally be your highest temp.  Individual core temps are usually a bigger deal for smaller chips such as 4 cores.  With your chip, it's more important to keep an eye on the whole chip as individual core temps will be very low compared to Package Temp.
