Can someone advise me for or against this power supply? Suits my budget. Will be running an I3-4130, RX 480 (4GB NITRO+), 8GB Ram. Need a reccommendation for a new PSU and I've done weeks of research and still can't determine if CX550M or the Deepcool one or anything is ACTUALLY any good. So many varying opinions. I just want a safe, working and tidy PSU for under €60ish. Please help me decide on one or hint at a model. Much Appreciated.

That PSU is good. The only downside is that it is not modular.

It isn't in @STRMfrmXMN's tier, but the ThermalTake London is and it is based on the same platform, so it is a tier 3.

The Corsair CX 550M is also a great choice and it is semi modular.

Why do you still completely ignore the good CX v4 line and what makes you think the Deepcool DQ ST crappy?

Saying "IDK, but I know the Seasonic S12II is good" is still a valid answer, but bashing the unknown is not.

The CX550M is a great pick for entry-level and mid-ranged builds. I've personally used the CXM series for stuff like upgrading prebuilts to install a graphics card, as the PSUs that are included with prebuilts generally have poor wattage or don't have PCIe power connectors. I've found them to be pretty reliable, and the price point is hard to beat.

With the CX550M, you get a nice semi-modular design to reduce cable clutter (the 24-pin cable and CPU cable are not modular, but they're at least sleeved and you're probably using them, anyway). The single 12 V rail also has 45.8 A, which should be just fine for a single CPU/GPU setup.

There are a few downsides to buying this PSU (and generally many PSUs at this tier): You won't generally get as many power connectors as a more premium power supply like an SF or RMx power supply, though it's plenty enough for a few hard drives and a graphics card. The operating temperature is also a little lower than more premium PSUs - the CX550M for instance is 40 C, which while it's a huge improvement to its predecessor's 30 C, might not be quite as good for a build that generates a lot of heat like a folding rig or a dual GPU setup. The sleeve-bearing fan used in the PSU ages faster than something like a ball-bearing fan, as it'll likely be mounted horizontally. You may notice it get a little noisier over time, but then again, probably not, as it's more of a gradual thing. It should be just fine for 5+ years, even then.

However, it won't blow up and is perfectly safe for that build.

It'll do. I'd probably get a Corsair CX550M or Seasonic M12 as they're more of a known quantity with a decent warranty experience, but the Deepcool, as @Comic_Sans_MSpointed out, it's a Thermaltake London which isn't an awful PSU.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
