K so I'm trying to dedicate 8gb of ram to my minecraft server for some buddies, I made the batch file with a guide off youtube, (i did this before before I reinstalled windows awhile back)

 

Also I tried changing minecraft_server.jar to .exe still gives me the same msg

 

Anyways here's the batch file:

When I try to open it, this message appears:

Before I re-installed I had ~20gb assigned to it, so I don't think the amount of ram is the issue.

 

 

Anyone know how to fix? I googled some stuff but didn't really find a whole lot of help >.<

Try -Xms4G -Xmx8G

or -Xms2G -Xmx4G

use nogui instead of gui because it's useless

 

didnt work >.<

Are you using 64bit Java? You might have trouble assigning that much memory if you're using 32bit

Try to change it to "-Xms8192m" -- I believe the case matters here
