Was there any sparks? Or any damage in the board? Seems like you shorted it

Future Upgrades

VVVVVVVVVVVVV

1: SSD

2: Freesync monitor

3: AIO cooler

4: New HDD

5: RAM upgrade, i want 16gb of black ram

order 1-5 is what I want the most,

color is of importance (most to least)

You attempted to install a GPU while the system was running?  And then you touched it to the motherboard while it was running and the PC blinked out and won't start again.

...Yeah, on that information alone, I think it's pretty possible that you shorted out the motherboard and maybe even did more damage than that.

Also: WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT???

Do any capacitors or any parts on the motherboard look budged or broken? Is there anything that has like a brownish color around it.

That in no way makes it any less boneheaded.  It only means that instead of jamming it into the motherboard while it was running, you accidently jammed it into the motherboard while placing it precariously over it.

Yeah, that's not a good idea at all. The system should be off, with no energy in the capacitors at all.

none, everything looks as it should. it gets power just it doesn't turn on

Do fans spins and all that? What do you mean by doesn't turn on? Do you just mean there is no video output on the monitor?

You don't need visible sparks for there to be damage. You might want to check all of your hardware. You could have fried anything that was attached and fried the GPU you were testing for fit....

Lesson learned I guess.
