His budget is about $1,000 and he's moving from the xbox to the PC land. I've thrown a little build together for him. He knows nothing about PCs so I'll be building it for him.

Just looking for a little advice, I've never built in the Node 202.

Looks good but why not the 6600k? Especially if you have a Z170 motherboard.

If you are planning on overclocking, I'd go for a 6600k. Otherwise if you don't I wouldn't get a z170 motherboard.

First of all this is beyond the console killer classification as specs go, you friend will be truly ascending. The only suggestion I have is the need for an HDD as 128gb is not enough for anyone. 1TB goes for around $50

K model is good, especially for the future so you don't feel like you have to upgrade your cpu to keep up with games. you could just overclock

agreed. get the 1TB now and later on you can add on a 250GB SSD for the boot drive

also you can get around paying 85 dollars for windows 10 if you know where to go

                                                                                                                                            Praise Duarte!

SSDs are great, but not vital.

that's why i suggested the SSD as a secondary addition, and the 1TB HDD as the primary. Also, having more than 1 drive in general is great, even more so if one of them is an ssd because of the increased speeds, because if you ever need to reinstall your OS, you won't have to shift around your documents and photos and stuff to a backup thumb drive or whatever just to reinstall windows. it's very convenient
