Hardware Change Help

My current rig is great with games, but I want to edit videos as well. My hardware can barely handle it, so I'm looking at some new parts with better specs on paper. I want to know if it's an upgrade, or not worth it.

I would pretty much just get an i7 6700K, a better cooler and call it a day.

Yeah you'll do way better on getting the i7 6700k.

 

Also; If you want people to see your replies you should use the quote button, it's the arrow under the comments.

 

If you want to make sure everything runs smooth with the 6700k I, yet again, recommend a better cooler. You might want to look in to a bigger case that can fit it as well.
