Is there any difference between the 9590 vs 8350?

8350 IMO is the sweet spot for CPUs.

No, both are the very same chip with different clocks (9590 is much higher binned, sucks 200w+ and runs at 4,7GHz with 5GHz Turbo).

 

Intel i7 sucks 80w off the wall for comparison, and i7 has faster singlethread at stock than FX 9590.

 

FX 9590 will beat the i7 in multithreaded integer-based calculations and lose to i7 in floating point based calculations.

No, the 9590 is clocked at 5ghz and the 8350 is clocked at 4ghz, you can oc the 8350 to around 4.5ghz(on average). the performance difference isnt very big(1-2fps).

If you're looking for an AMD CPU, I'd wait a little longer. They're currently transitioning into FM2 only (noooo my 8350 is going to be outdated :() and are supposedly releasing a 6 core APU that will beat the 8350.

That's still very far off in 2015.
