Usually I use a wireless USB adapter for my daily internet purposes. I noticed that it started getting a bit slow recently. I have an ethernet cable long enough to connect to my router, but when I connect it to my PC, it doesn't work. Everything is good on the router. Whenever I disconnect and connect my ethernet cable, a popup comes on my screen saying that there is a driver issue. This is what shows up in device manager. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI.

That's why I break mine twice.

right-click on the internet icon in your taskbar (bottom right) > troubleshoot problems > it might automatically resolve driver issues or internet config problems

Didn't work.

One way of getting drivers is to google the hardware ID or the compatible ID of the device. Works like a charm in many cases. I'm gonna try to see if it works. I'll reply back as soon as possible.

Turns out there is a separate driver for LAN on my motherboard.....

http://www.gigabyte.pk/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5496&dl=1&RWD=0#driver

I hate that Gigabyte did that. Now I have to wait an hour just to download 250 MB. My package is 5 Mbps (625 Kbps, if you know what I mean). I hate my internet.
