Power Supply Troubleshooting Help Needed

Here's a link to my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/z6Jh3F

This is my first time building a PC and I've finally gotten all of the essential parts together (still waiting on DVD drive).  I tried starting the machine up to get that whole BIOS thing rolling and to make sure everything was working properly -- but it seems I've already run into an issue.  95% of the time when I press the power button on the case I get no response. However, I have gotten a quick flash from the GPU and a 1/8 turn of the fans a couple times and was able to catch it on video here: IMG_3396.MOV.  I've checked and reconnected my power switch cable, 18 pin cable, and PSU cord to the outlet multiple times.  What am I missing here? Do I have a defective part or is this just me being a noob?  I appreciate any help you all could provide me with!

It looks like your front panel connectors are probably not all plugged in well. Make sure everything is snapped in place. You also may have the polarity on your power button connector reversed.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Hey All,

Thanks for the advice! After some more troubleshooting it turns out that this happens when my case fans are plugged into the MOBO instead of exclusively to the PSU.  PC is booting now and MOBO is posting to the monitor -- how do I mark this thread as solved?

Thanks again!

I would guess that's not a good thing. You should be able to put the fans on MOBO and have everything POST. That doesn't make much sense. Maybe something was shorting out a connection? I'm not too sure, but that's not normal.
