Worth upgrading?

Go to solution Solved by Misanthrope,

50 Euro seems like a lot for a card that will run barely any better in actual in game performance. I'd save the money and just live with 3gb of vram but if you want to not think about that or be extra future proof then go for the 6gb version.

Yes it is quite worth it as you'll have well over double the horsepower and the rest of the rig can handle it easily. If you can find the 6gb version within your budget it would be even better but for what you have it's still a very good improvement.

The 1070 is also a heck of a lot more powerful though. For 1080p gaming the 1060 3gb you're looking at is more than enough and the 6gb is not only a tad faster but also has more vram which means some games can even go to slightly higher settings. But for the price I like the 1060 3gb version better: it just needs a bit of tweaking on AA and Texture settings from time to time to stay within 3gb of vram.

Yes, but get a 6GB version of the 1060 or 8GB 480.

I'd say push abit more for the 6gb version instead if it's possible.

I could get the EVGA Gtx 1060 SC gaming 6gb for 300euro
