Any body a bit bass nutty?

I chose a 15 inch... love the lows it put's out, has a more deeper punch than a 12 or 10 imo.

I suggest peeps listen with headphones, i doubt many speaker will pick the bass up due to frequency response.

What exactly are we listening to? Can we get some context?

It's a 15 inch Orion HCCA in a sealed enclosure.

The speakers are custom jobs too to keep up with the woofer, it's not played loud it's actually tuned for sound quality though the mic does a bad job as it adds noise.

15 inch drivers.

It's not about power handing, the paper cones of the Black Death pro make them sound so damn good, very high fidelity and will hit all the notes with ease.

I dunno this was more a question aimed at bass heads on what they prefer for a sub.

Not bad, not bad. How much was the sub to build total (or are you running more than one)?

Just the one though it is positioned next to a corner so the bass will actually be improved on the lows, it causes a sort of echo effect that brings the notes way lower using the room for more low end notes, either that or go for a more inaccurate ported enclosure.

The speakers do a fine job, the Orion HCCA is only running on half power (not maximum amp capacity) tuned so that everything sounds clear.

Total build was just under 3k UK pounds.

You have to remember i had to put a low pass filter on the sub output as the 15 inch drivers for the main speaker handle the normal bass ranges, the sub just output's the very low stuff.

The tweeters have their own high pass filter.

Was worth it imo.

Main speakers (Vibe Black Death pro's)

1x Crown XLS1002 AMP

 Orion HCCA 15 sub.

1x Behringer EP2000

Everything else is tuned with a equalizer through Windows on a HTPC.
