Don't get the Node 202 with the included PSU, get a Corsair SF 450W instead, it is much better.

You didn't fix the link a while ago, you just removed the peripherals and replaced parts with more stupid and/or very expensive stuff.

PSUs do matter, it is what is powering your system, the NEX is very average and very overpriced.

The SSD is sub-par, the 1st edition was okay then Kingston swapped out the flash and made it slower, the 1st edition is out dated and slow and despite of that you are still recommending it.

Why are you now recomending a $140 280mm AIO and a $100 16GB kit of RAM.

Like Linus said as long as you're buying from a reputable brand for PSUs you'll be fine.

AIO is because it's good.

RAM is for aesthetics.

now please lay off the saltines.

Should still fit in the budget though and I haven't heard any complaints about the included psu, it your choice in the end.

I'll change it anyway just to be sure.

No, there is no signatute here, deal with it.

PSU manufactures MEANS NOTHING!!! I can find a very good Deepcool, Sharkron or even Great Wall PSUs and some very garbage EVGA, XFX, Corsair, Antec, Be Quiet! PSUs.

There is are 280mm AIOs that are $25 less that are just as good.

You can get very nice looking RAM with LEDs for $32 less

You are someone who doesn't admit you are wrong.

I haven't looked into the Integra SFX, but the Corsair SF is amazing and from people who really know they stuff say the  Corsair SF is only only SFX that is worth getting.

Roughly in December i will be building my New gaming PC and i kind of feel lost, so i decided to join these forums ( since i watch every Linus video) and to ask for help.

I will be spending between 1200-1500$ on the build and i have few things that i'm sure of in the build.

CPU -  i7 6700k

RAM - 16 GB but i have no idea what to go with

GPU -  I'm not sure whether i go with 980 or 1070 and which model ?

Case - Nzxt s340 or anything as basic with that kind of window

Cooling - water or Fan?

My room is Light Grey and my desk is IKEA white, and i love green, so i would like my PC to be white/green.

I would appreciate if you guys post a whole build. thank you everyone :D

What motherboard are you going to use? If you are going to spend that much you should go with a motherboard that supports DDR4 here is a list of expensive but great motherboards

Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero Price Around $230 ATX / Up to 64 GB Dual Channel DDR4 3600 OC

Gigabyte Z170 GA-Z170X-UD5

Price Around $159

ATX / Up to 64BGB Dual Channel DDR4 3466 OC

MSI Z170A Gaming M7

Price Around $195

ATX / Up to 64 GB Dual Channel DDR4 3600 OC

All of the motherboards listed here are LGA 1151 So that means they all have 6th gen intel processor support.

May I ask why you serving him moderately priced motherboards on a platter rather than offering him a whole system based on his guidelines?

RAM aesthetics are just opinions not something better for $29 cheaper.

Because he forgot to mention a motherboard in his original post so i found some really nice (and stupidly expensive, but anyways) motherboards for him. That plain and simple but I can offer him a whole system pretty fast too.

That video was a huge disappointment

RAM aesthetics are just opinions, so telling someone to buy $100 RAM because YOU like it is not right.

The AVEXIR core series IMO is some of the best looking RAM in the market. http://pcpartpicker.com/product/h4s8TW/

The psu brand has nothing to do with it. Corsair and EVGA for example have excellent units in their lineup, but they also have crap units as well. Some of the most important things are the oem (Who actually makes the thing), component selection and the platform/design.

What we think a good power supply is is very different. My idea of a good power supply is something that gets the job done and doesn't cause fires. That's it.

Actually I take that back because I must have the shittiest PSU ever. My PC starts up just fine and shuts off fine and the power supply doesn't get very hot or cause fires or problems. What a piece of shit if it does all of that.

When did I say that your psu is going to cause a fire ? I am saying that you don't pick a psu just off the brand name because not all brands have good units across the board. A Corsair VS is a good example of a shit psu but yet they have the AX/AXi as well which are top quality units. See my point ?

Well everyone calls my PSU garbage. But it's quite good.

I typicaly buy the ones with better reviews and/or are slightly higher priced.
