I use a VPN that has an android app. Torguard is pretty good stuff and only $10 a year with the coupon code. Well worth it.

My school is smart and blocked alot of the major VPN's. So I figured if I set one up and I'm the only one using it. It'll be one user connecting to one ip in a school of thousands. My school has an algorithm that detects when multiple users are connecting to the same IP over and over and flags it for review. So if I'm the only one using it, I should be okay

You might want to look into your built in VPN service on your router if its available. If I understand it correctly you can access your home internet through another device and use it.

 

And also, Torguard offers a static IP for the VPN.

download and run betternet. It won't be routed through your PC, but it will get around the firewalls (same goal achieved). On android, use Psiphon.

Rent a VPS and install OpenVPN on it. If they blocked major VPNs then they are probably blocking a port. So by making your own you can route all the traffic through ports that aren't blocked. You get no speed loss and unlimited users.

Don't use free VPNs. They are slow, inject ads, and you have no clue who betternet is. Could be a chinese data farm. Also Betternet is one of the largest VPNs so I am sure it would be blocked

It is not blocked, thats the whole point of a VPN (maybe blocked from downloading at school, so download at home), and it to get around a school firewall. I wouldn't suggest online banking through it, but if your trying to get through firewall to work on projects or something it does the job quickly and free.

Those are both in the same sentence...

No clue as in who runs it. Could be some russian company. You can easily block a VPN by blocking port 1160. Most free ones and paid don't have many options so they use the standard VPN port. But you can change it to 443 which is the same as a https so they would be blocking all their internet if they shut that one
