I found this pretty funny, my grandparents think that the internet sucks because they are using like 6 year old crappy laptops

Yeah looks good they might be on fiber, if I remember correctly the difference between a cable and telephone line is one is the distance from the switch, and others is the amount of people on the network. But that was 15 years ago when I read that. Looks like I am right. Cable = users on network, telephone is distance.

So people in a big city will be better off, I will have to look into where the telephone switch is located near me.

I get 29.5Mbps and 2.7Mbps on cable at 2am on cable.
