Heatshrinkless & Terminals Question

I'm currently doing my first heatshrinkless cables.

Terminals are usually turning a bit black when I'm using the heatgun. Is that ok? it will not affect the PSU in anyway?

I think you can just remove that by sviping over the pin with your finger, i just gave my PC a custom cable job, and had some of the same issus, but the PC runns with no problems.

If your melting the ends of the sleeving onto the terminals it would be better with a lighter to melt the ends keep it near the bottom of the flame to prevent it from getting soot onto the terminal.
