Sometimes, if I finish playing an immersive video game, I'll start hearing noises from that game in real life.

For example, over the last week or so I replayed Half Life 2, HL2 Episode 1 and HL2 Episode 2. Lot of fun, but this morning when I went on a walk, I heard a headcrab. The sound wasn't like a headcrab: it actually was the headcrab sound effect. I stopped in my tracks, slightly weirded out.

Then, later on, I was just minding my own business when I heard the howl that the Combine Strider makes when you take it down. Got a bit more weirded out.

Y'all going crazy!

Nah but seriously, if you hear that out loud, unmistakably, you might have a very active imagination, bordering on hallucinogenic. If this happens frequently, you could seek medical attention from a trained professional.

Getting an MIR/CAT/CT scan might not be a bad idea - if only just to rule out physical issues.

Now when you start to SEE the headcrab... then you should worry :P

I know what you mean. I've experienced hearing a barely noticeable noise that my brain apparently interpreted as a sound I've heard before in a video game, though I knew for a fact it wasn't that particular sound. It was just, say, the wind blowing, and not a dragon from Skyrim roaring.
