suggest CPU upgrade to my mobo GA970A DS3P

Guys I have a GA 970ADS3P + FX 6300+Hyper X Fury 8GB DDR3 running with a Corsair 550VA powersupply coupled with Zotac GTX 1060 mini . GPU performs insane as I upgraded my GPU from AMD r7 370 (pathetic card) . I believe my CPU is bottlenecking performance . Can u guys suggest me a CPU upgrade (i dont know whats the latest in FX 8 series)? or should I straight away update my mobo to a DDR4 one and couple with atleast a i5? You genius tell me a upgrade plan within a budget of not more than 250$

Just wait and get an i5 6600k and a decent motherboard. Upgrading to another fx series cpu doesn't make a lot of sense.

1.get an i5 6400, h110 mobo and 8gb of ddr4 ram

2. get an i5 6400, h110 ddr3 mobo and reuse your ddr3(if you can't afford new ram)

3. swap out the fx 6300 for an fx 83xx, but its not much of an upgrade so i don't recommend it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
