Hey a friend is looking to build a pc for roughly 700 euros i was looking around on pc part picker (Germany) and i have not been keeping up to date and was looking for advice. What are some good AMD CPU's (if any??) since they are considerably cheaper than intel as usual  and wanted to know what is good bang for the buck around the 970/1060/radeon 470/480, as he has no preference in AMD/Nvidia. Also SSD probably isnt really needed if it can save money for a better CPU/GPU and no fancy case is required as he wouldn't care =p

Cheers =]

You don't want an AMD CPU unless you are on an extreme budget. A Skylake i3 or i5 would be a much better option. As would Haswell.

Main Gaming Rig:

Spoiler

Core i7-4770, Cryorig M9i Cooler, ASUS B85M GAMER, 8GB HyperX Fury Red 2x4GB 1866MHz, KFA2 GTX 970 Infin8 Black Edition "4GB", 1TB Seagate SSHD, 256GB Crucial m4 SSD, 60GB Corsair SSD for Kerbal and game servers, Thermaltake Core V21 Case, EVGA SuperNOVA 650W G2.

Secondary PC:

Spoiler

i5-2500k OCed, Raijintek Themis, Intel Z77GA-70K, 8GB HyperX Genesis in grey, GTX 750 Ti, Gamemax Falcon case.

could you post a list of current build? i think all of amd's current cpu's would bottleneck those gpu's in some games. a gtx 960 or a r9 380 is the max that the fx 8350  can handle so AMD is probably better left behind in this build on CPU side of things.

Haswell prices are not really low so Skylake would be a decent option, how great would an i3 with 2 cores be for gaming, does not need to be on the max settings as long as you get decent frame rates (triple A games)
