I have a problem when using my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. It's so laggy (my RAM Gskill 16gb btw) and my CPU usage up to 100%. It's really worry me. So, I try to use windows 10 for my computer.

Begin with booting from UEFI drive and run so slow to load win10 installer. When the installer begin, I choose advanced install, and format my latest system (win7Ultimate) and it's goes to install. But, after it's done and coming a restart, it's doesn't begin at all (just a loading screen for almost 1 hour)

I try to downgraded the OS into Win 8.1 (Because I think my PC not worth enough for Win 10). But, same thing happen too. It's doesn't work.

My hardware are:

Proc: Intel i7 930 socket 1366

Mobo: Foxconn Reinnasence II (This motherboard suck btw)

System disk: SSD Corsair LE 240GB

VGA card: MSI Gtx 670ti boost

RAM: Gskill 16gb (i forgot the series)

Cooler: Corsair H90

Data Hardisk: Seagate 1Tb and WD Green 500gb

Maybe you need to free up space, cache and stuff...

Like formating the System drive? I think I already do that when the installation begin. I formated the system drive and use it for the new system. Or maybe there is another way?

1. Windows 10 upgrade takes a long time. like upto 3-4 hours, its normal at this point
2. your memory and cpu usage sounds like the windows update mem leak thats  a common issues on win7

I can help you stop WIndows 7 Updates from running, hopefully you can upgrade to Win10 without it

1. Windows Update > Change Settings > "Never Check for Updates"

2. Start > (type) msconfig > Services > (sort by name) then scroll down to "Windows Update" and uncheck that box > Restart.

Idk, clear RAM? clear CPU cache? I'm not too sure what the problem is too, but it usually should be lack of space or incompatibility with your hardware. Maybe there is some other ways win10 is messing up.

But in my condition now, I could only access into BIOS only. is it possible to clear CPU & RAM cache from BIOS? Thanks before :)

So i just waited it become win 10 for 4 hours?

And when I using the Win 7, i think its because it's not updated. It's good if I turn of the updates?

Btw, thanks dude :)
