Pc wont post

I recently started building a new pc and i have encountered some major problems. Once i turn it on the dram memok light turns on and i have no video output. 

Specs:

I7 6700k

Asus z170 a 

Gtx 960

Ddr4 corsair dominator platinum 2666

1. Check that your RAM is positioned good.

2. Check connections.

3. Check the graphics card connectors.

4.Check connectors of dirt.

 

These were some of my problems I had with my PC, try 'em out.

Test with one stick of memory at a time.

Yeah i tested the ram in different orders and stuff already. The graphics card is in fine as well. Im baffled as to what could be wrong

Its the red dram light that is worrying me

and u must have tried resetting cmos too...what happened after that?

Light flashed for a bit then goes back to a solid light

okay so today itself this happened with me....i overclocked my cpu and ran 3dmark timespy and it crashed on cpu test and gave black screen...i tried reinserting gpu that did not work....i took off both ram sticks got no beep...then i installed one ram stick in first slot and cleared cmos...this did the trick...

Pull out cmos battery for a few. Minutes.  Reset cmos use one stick of ram and onboard graphics if u have it

Unplug everything from the board such as ram,drives and gpu. The turn it on. See if you get beep codes
