I have just finished ordering the last of the parts for my  first budget PC build. I would like to get an opinion on how I did. This is my very fist PC for I am moving from console to PC due to next gen pricing. I have left room for upgrades as well.

 

The parts I used are as follows:

 

CPU: (Used) AMD FX 6350 125W AM3+ [~$110] eBay 

GPU: (Used) Visiontek Radeon 7870 6m [~$85] eBay

RAM: (New) 8GB DDR3 1600MHz [~27] eBay 

STORAGE: (Used) 500GB HDD Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM [~$17] eBay 

MOTHERBOARD: (New) Micro ATX 125W Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 rev 6.0 [~$40]

CASE: (New) Cougar MX200 [~$30] eBay

PSU: (New) Antec EA-500D Earthwatts 500W [~$43] eBay 

CPU FAN: (New) Generic dual fan CPU Fan 12.2cm tall [~$14] eBay 

 

Planned upgrades:

 

CPU: AMD FX 8350

GPU: GTX 1060

RAM: 16GB Total memory 

STORAGE: 1TB HDD w/ 250GB SSD

Yes that is true but intel motherboards cost more than what I paid for mine. I spent several weeks doing research and weighing my options. I would prefer to have intel but the current configuration is the cheapest and most powerful for my money.
