DO NOT, whatever you do, DO NOT buy a Founders Edition for an ATX chassis. Get an aftermarket card instead.

This EVGA costs less, performs better, runs cooler, and looks nicer. https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Support-Graphics-08G-P4-6183-KR/dp/B01GAI6478/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1474213813&sr=1-4&keywords=gtx+1080

Overkill power supply (a 850W PSU is enough for two 1080s) and overkill motherboard (most boards at 200-300+ are hard to recommend since you don't get any major improvements).

I don't understand you, what is that R9 stuff you are talking about?

Also the 6800K is much more powerful than the 6700K what made you thing the opposite? It has 2 more cores and 4 more threads.

He maybe could upgrade and add a second 1080 in the future who knows. And all X99 motherboards (atleast the good ones) start at 250$. It's because of the complexity of the chipset.

If in gaming it's only barely faster than i7 6700K:

No more clocks isn't always better, unless you are dealing with CPUs with the same architecture and the same core counts then you can consider comparing CPUs by clocks, otherwise don't.

So how big of a power supply do i need for this build https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1YD9QMMQ7KXPK/ref=cm_wl_list_o_0? and will a i7 6800k fit in that mother board

850W is more than enough I don't recommend going over it. EVGA SuperNOVA P2 850W

And no the 6800K won't fit in that motherboard. Here are some good motherboards that will fit it:

Asus X99-A II

Asus ROG Strix X99 Gaming

Asus X99 Deluxe II

Gigabyte GA-X99-Ultra Gaming

Gigabyte GA-X99-Phoenix SLI

Gigabyte GA-X99-Designare EX

Pick whichever you like (or can afford). They are all extremely good.

Also don't get the Founders Edition GTX 1080. Get one of these they are alot better and have better cooling:

MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8GB

Gigabyte GTX 1080 Gaming G1

Asus GTX 1080 ROG Strix

And make sure you buy the 6800K (6 cores 12 threads) instead of the 6700K (4 cores 8 threads)

Intel Core i7 6800K

X99 motherboards support Quad Channel RAM (4 sticks) so you should take the advantage and buy 4 sticks of RAM like these:

G.Skill Trident Z 32GB (4x8GB) 3200MHz

G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (4x8GB) 3200MHz

i7 6800K

Corsair H110i GT

Asus ROG Strix X99 Gaming

Corsair Vengeance LPX (4x4GB) 3200MHz

Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

Seagate Barracuda 3TB

R9 270X

NZXT H440 (Black/Red) 2015 Edition

EVGA SuperNOVA P2 850W

BenQ XL2411Z

Don't think you will ever get that much, at best 5-3fps, the 6800K isn't for gamers:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-core-i7-broadwell-e-6950x-6900k-6850k-6800k,4587-3.html

The benefit is minimal, and in some games thats error margin. For games nowadays better stick with the i7 6700K, the cost difference including the pricer board isn't worth it for the very small improvement.
