Solved by Zyndo,
Z170 is a chipset. Z170A is the model. There are many kinds of Z170 boards out there, and many different companies many a Z170A board with varying features.
The short answer is that all Z170A boards are Z170 boards, but not all Z170 boards are Z170A boards, and not all Z170A boards will be the same. make sense?
