How to TEMPORARILY stop BITS in Windows 10?

Freezanator
Go to solution Solved by xAcid9,

run Notepad and paste this

@echo OFF
start  /min net stop bits

save as .bat instead of .txt and run it as Administrator

If you want to start the service just use net start bits

I've read on a lot of sites saying to stop Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) by going into services.msc and stopping it. I know I'm not like the others who want to stop it permanently, as I have created a shortcut command to temporarily stop it. The screenshot below shows the command called BITS.exe on the right hand side which I made from a tutorial to stop BITS from my desktop instead of accessing Services. I have reinstalled Windows 10 on my PC and I have forgotten to save the file. Anyone know how to recreate the command file?

I don't quite remember how to save it as a .bat file. Could you explain the process to me please?
