so i am getting paid soon and one of the plans I have is to add some LEDS to not only my desk but my kitchen as well and maybe some other place but i can't tell if i am to cut these strips and make more than one strip with this real of led's or if not what else i will need.

Yes those are standard SMD5050 LED's which you can cut to length and wire or solder them up as needed, just note you will require another RGB LED controller if you plan to set them up in different areas.

okay, that's fine, but what about have different strips in the same room, am I gonna need more controllers for each strip? if so can u direct me in the right way, I know I am gonna need more than one transformer for each and I am gonna get a remote wireless switch for that but other things I don't know.

You'll need something like this to control the strips if your cutting up the strip to use in different areas, with that you will want to source a regulated 12V power supply.

okay excellent start, the 12v transformers I am guessing also shouldn't be too hard to find.

When I comes to connectors it was recommended to go with these with the LED's (for the kitchen): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Connector-Adapter-Strip-Stripe-Waterproof/dp/B009P08T4U/ref=pd_bxgy_201_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=A7D6JBFKT0WT1MMRHQ5N

Also, what do u think of using an extension cable to merge 2 5m cables into 10m and using a 10m transformer and 1 controller for one room? link:

You can buy premade extensions but it does require you to solder on those 4 pin connectors to the LED contacts when you cut them to length. If you want a quick overview of it I have a guide of it here under wiring up LED Strips:

thanks appricated, i do wonder though do you think it is possible to solder or even merge to strips together in series or parallel?

You can series and parallel the LED's together if you say want to have an extension lead and wire another strip to the end of the last one or two right beside each other. Just make sure to keep the wiring orientation correct as the 4 pins aren't keyed.
