Multiple VGA outputs

Go to solution Solved by Clyne,

Try Matrox cards...

You'd have to get a adapter to use multiple VGA ports..

Adapter

You will need at least two graphics cards for 10 outputs, and most gpus will need active adapters after 2 analog outputs, you can get version of the hd 7750 with 6 mini displayport out, and use active adapters to vga.

Just make sure to get active adapter when converting from a digital signal (hdmi/dp/dvi-d) to an analog signal(vga)

Unless it's a DVI-I port. Some older cards still had that.

But yeah OP, you're kind of hosed trying to find something with native VGA ports unless it's old. Even then you're looking at most two per card (VGA and a DVI-I port).

Are these all independent displays? If they're only mirroring you could also try USB adapters.

Yeah im presuming im going to have to buy something old. Its for multiple displays but its for some old tech. It kind of needs to be VGA out puts and not using adapters.

Even with old gpus, the max you will see for vga outs on a card will be one or two, most gpus can only suport two analog outputs at the same time. Adapter literally is the only way. The monitor won't care if it is atached to an adapter, and they are really cheap usually then the $10 for an active adapter.

Yeah, thats not a option.
Im after a card with multiple vgas like 5 for say. Similar to how there are ones for multiple HDMI for people who trade stocks and want a load of monitors. But because the equipment im using is old (its not monitors so dont act like a snob because you presume it will work, also im not using multiple types of output because that confuses the software I will be using like mad) and the best most common connection available to use is VGA im after a old card (presumably old) with multiple VGAs im not saying I have to get it new on amazon. But if you know of companies or products from back in the day which made something like this tell me because I will research them and try and find some.

Yeah Matrox used to be a big player back then with the G200/400 in 3D cards(TNT2/Rage), but they switched to the industrial line. Matrox usually makes cards for the business line, with like multiple outputs and so.
