Which SSD to Buy?

Chikorita

Hi, I'm currently looking to buy a new SSD but not really sure which one to buy.

At the moment I'm looking between Samsung 750 EVO (250 GB) and Samsung 850 EVO (500 GB)

*the difference between these 2 aren't really that high except for the storage capacity*

I'm basically looking for a ''Gaming SSD''

If you got an SSD that runs the type of games you play pretty good/fast then lemme know which you got

Thanks! ^_^

Why would't you go with 250 GB 850 evo? I mean, you should still save the majority of files on an HDD,  just a couple of games on an SSD, imo. If that is not a case, I don't see why you wouldn't save a bit more money and get a 1TB SSD.

most ssd are 450-550 mb/s so just buy the highest capacity you can. You do have to watch out for the write cycles but mostly its fine.

The only real difference between the 850 and 750 is the reliability; the amount of read/writes it can do before the drive will fail. They are both excellent drives. But if you want more reliability, go for an EVO 850-series drive

Or why not a 500 GB of the 750 EVO?

I'd personally vote for using a 500 GB drive, as todays games that are 50 GB+ in size are easily filling up a 250 GB drive in no time.
