So I have an iPhone 5c right now and my 2 year contract is up and do you think after the iPhone 7 comes out I can get the iPhone 6s for a cheaper price from my carrier because I don't think I can fully afford the iPhone 7

If the pattern continues, probably not for a full year.

Edit: 6s will be cheaper than a 7, but won't really drop in price for a full year, I mean.

Your first problem is buying an iPhone. :P

 

iPhones are all overpriced and not worth their money. Spend less and buy yourself what is pretty much the best phone you can currently buy all round, the Google Nexus 6P.

I could say the same about androids. Look at the s7 they will leave you with life scars because of QC control. All androids get viruses and only hackers use them. If he want an iPhone let him get an iPhone

Really depends what android device your running. The Nexus 6P is one of the only phones that run pure android, and is therefore the most secure android phone you can get.

 

I'm fine with him buying an iPhone but they are extremely overpriced. The Nexus 6P is over $400 cheaper than the iPhone 6S and has more RAM, a bigger battery, a better screen, similar performance, a better fingerprint sensor, a more customizable OS and a way bigger screen.

All my friends and family have an iPhone so there is no point in hurting myself by losing iMessage and FaceTime. Also I plan on getting an Apple Watch 2 if it's good

If you're locked in the apple ecosystem there isn't much you can do unfortunately. In this case, a 6S would be fine.

Yeah I agree that iPhones probably arnt the best choice on the market anymore but it's pretty much what I'm limited to

So the Nexus 6P is $250? Your arguement for more RAM and bigger battery are thrown out the window considering IOS uses soo little RAM and is way more efficient then even stock Android. The 6s also has NVME making it the fastest phone on the market. The fingerprint scanner is also the same or a little better. Sure it is over priced but it isn't like you aren't getting something that isn't well designed. If you want custom OS just jailbreak it

I'm not an Apple fan boy but some arguments you are making are more of opinions rather then facts. More liquid-ey? How about raw data transfer speeds? Same thing with jailbreaking. Just root an Android or change some option welp then it's bricked and $700 AUD is out the window.
