Graphic design build Please xd

Chaicho

So i recently got into graphic design classes and the classroom only has macs and well i got illustrator for my pc and it runs kinda slow and the resolution looks really crappy compared to the mac. I'm not sure if ill be using photoshop too since i dont know much about graphic design. I also want to do some gaming on it, like run games a medium settings at 60fps 1080p.

Can you guys also include the monitor please, just a 1080p monitor.

And for the budget, i dont have one but i would like it to be cheapish because i dont want to be a super expensive build.

Thankss.

It's the same as an i7-4770. It will do just fine.

For the sake of better gaming, grab this list entirely off newegg.

what monitor would u recommend ?

That's a harder question because you care about color accuracy as a graphic designer.

But thankfully tomshardware found this monitor perfectly fine. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/asus-mg24uq-24-inch-ips-uhd-freesync-monitor,4720.html

As you can see, that monitor did very well in their tests especially for its price. So what I would recommend is getting that monitor long with this list, then gaming at 1080p downsampled while taking advantage of the 4K resolution for graphic design.

if you could stretch it at this point i would think it would be worth considering getting the 8gb version of the RX 480 instead of the 4gb only looking at about 40- 60 dollars more in fact i would wait to get it until then if i could other than that that this looks good

At newegg, 8GB 480s are very expensive so I would rather not, I also will not recommend a reference cooler 480.

The cheapest being tho $270 PowerColor Red Devil http://pcpartpicker.com/product/BZJkcf/powercolor-radeon-rx-480-8gb-red-devil-video-card-axrx-480-8gbd5-3dhoc

A better choice would be the PowerColor R9 390 as 390s have been better than 480s by a bit (about on par with 1060 6gbs)  http://pcpartpicker.com/product/pxGj4D/powercolor-video-card-axr93908gbd5ppdhe

Why only grab stuff of newegg? plus. http://pcpartpicker.com/product/W34NnQ/gigabyte-radeon-rx-480-8gb-g1-gaming-video-card-gv-rx480g1-gaming-8gd

is custom and 274 for only 40 more it is worth it.

Grabbing stuff only off newegg means easier buying experience and no shipping costs. As for the $40 more, I disagree that it's worth it. In general both 1060 6GB and 480 8GB are overpriced, the only GPU correctly priced imo is the 1060 3GB, considering the double node shrink I believe I have my right to expect better than this.
