Hello all, So today i planned to switch out PSU's on my desktop. after i removed to old one and put in the new one i found that my pc would not turn on. No fans, no lights, nothing. So i made sure it was all plugged in and still nothing, After putting the old PSU in i ran into the same issue even though it was working fine this morning. I have already tried changing the CMOS battery and again double checking that everything is plugged in. So if anyone has any suggestions i am all ears. Thank you.

Did you make sure to turn on the switch at the back of the PSU? Maybe its the power button?

Check case connectors are plugged in correctly   eg start/reset pins. Double check 24 pin /8 Pin CPU are latched etc.

You haven't tried to get away with re-using some cables have you? like keep old cables connected and connect to new PSU?

what about case connectors?  Just trying to rule out a faulty power button... if still nothing try bridging the power button pins (carefully). If still nothing then there's definitely something wrong in the cables as you said PSu has been tested with another system. So there would have to be a cabling problem, or a short or soemthign stopping the PC powering on.

I will try that. Here are some pictures of the PC. GPU's have been removed for clarity.

I see that the GPUs have been removed what kind were they and what do they have for power connectors? Does the machine power up without the cards installed? I only ask because i had a similar issue with my PC, My card uses a single 8 pin power connector, the machine wouldn't power up. i noticed that the power connector (6+2) the +2 section was not secure. Fixed the connection and no problems since.

Yeah I can see it now... I don't go and look at older posts I'd have already seen/read so didn't see it, it would have been better to edit the post that you originally tried to post a pic in, but anyway nevermind have seen them now :)

I can't see anything obvious, hard to tell from the pics though, if you could take some (close as you can get) pics of the :-

24 pin ATX power from above and to the right if you can.

4/8 pin CPU power from above or from left of the heatsink near the exhaust fan.

case connectors from below them a little.

Ahh just seen the post above... reminds me to ask if you actually tested the system with no GPUs in, I just assumed you had as you had taken them out anyway.
