Need confirmation of compatibility of new build

Webber

Hello everyone,

I understand this is about the 3rd time I've asked if this setup is the best it can be and all works, I keep asking because every time I do the build get's better and better.

Here's a link to the parts: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/46jGPs (all bits that cost £0.00 are things that I have already acquired)

My budget is around £1200

It's a red and black themed build

It's for gaming on AAA games at high settings and small content creation.

I plan to use one screen when gaming and two when using it for editing.
Do all the parts work together at their full capabilities and are there any better suggestions?

Thank you.

Everything looks good, maybe think about getting an i5 and a 1080, or just shelling out the extra bit for a 1080, since it looks like you're already trying to get a top of the line pc.

Yeah I may drop the extra cash to change the 1070 for a 1080.

But I definitely wouldn't go for an I5 instead of an I7 because the PC is also for content creation and that I7 just kicks ass in that.

Thank you.

the 6700 will be set for years and can handle another gpu update, the 6600k cant go much higher than the 1080 and may even bottleneck it in some current games.

And since I went with the K variant and an Z170 MOBO I'm pretty sure (with better cooling) I could overclock it and it could last a bit more.

how high res are you looking to play?

1920 x 1080, I understand this could handle 4k at lower settings (on a good day).

But I'm not bothered about 4K.

your cooling is fine for a decent OC already, and i bet the architecture will bottleneck the OC rather than heat

Oh that's very good to know.

Thank you.

If your looking at doing 1080p then the 1070 is fine

Thank you, that's great.
