Every Day we get the same questions here. What are the best builds for like 500, 1000 and 1500€ or $.

My idea is now to make a few example builds and place them in here and I will check for your inputs to change things up or show alternatives!

We start with a 550€ build.

my idea is to have a general thread where people can check for a pc for there needs.
If there is interest I would also add a 6-core i7-5820k build for contentcreators and an office budget pc.

I want to check what you think and I thank you already for any help in improving this builds. In the end the idea would be to make two guides, one US, one EU guide with idea for people to start with, when they come here and ask for a build.

I searched for a thread likes this but didn't found any in this forum.

Apart from these interesting list choices, there is a reason why there are so many different threads. It is because every single user is in a different situation and has different needs, so a more personalised build can be of GREAT help.

Sure, but I think a general idea of what is possible could be seen then by newcomers. Most people just ask for an i7-6700k build with a gtx 1070 or 1080 and they should know what those builds cost. I see this in other forums a lot and it is used by many people. Sure, this will not fit everyone, but it will give a general idea to start the thread. If you think the whole idea is bad, it is fine for me, just was an idea :)  all feedback to the idea is welcome

that is why I asked the community for better builds, those are just the ideas I got from pcgh lists and partpicker recommendations. I know myself those are far from being good, but why not do it together so we can give recommendations later with showing the thread with example builds?

It's not the fact that they were *terrible* builds, on the contrary, they were actually quite good. The problem lies with who they are for. The shorter the list is, the easier it is to use but the less practical it is. The longer the list is, it can suite a lot more people BUT still won't fit everyone and it would be quicker to just create build posts. Sorry if I sound like I am intentionally raining on your parade :/

I totally understand what you are meaning, but I still believe it is helpful for some people to know what they have to aim for. Those 4 builds I showed here are all gaming builds, I would have done more for office pc and a 6-core workstation/creator build and even would put in a xeon build, but there I would need help, to less expierenced with xeons.
That would be a total of 7 builds, where you can start off in a thread and change individual parts for personal interests like colour or diskspace.

I just know it from multiple forums for pc hardware and build recommandations and many people are happy with the basic list. I won't decide today, but I will look in this thread in around 2 days and then take the feedback into my decision if it is worth the work.
Because I would also do the work on keeping those lists up-to-date.

After all the most requested builds are cheap gaming/office pc's and the ones with i5-6600k or i7-6700k. Everything above that level or gtx 1080/sli builds can't be recommended anyway and needs individual building.
