Where is BIOS? Windows 10.

With the new Windows 10 update I can not restart to uefi (BIOS). The option is simply not there. I can still access BIOS by rapidly smashing F2 keys but I don't want it.

I want my PC to boot up as fast as possible. Back then I can set POST time to very small number because there was no need for me to access BIOS on startup cause I can always do Recovery>Advanced Startup>Restart Now

Also option to boot to disc drive/device is not there

Any suggestions?

Here are my updates screenshot in case.

And here is my settings. I don't think you can print screen there

Fast Boot is enabled but still nothing works. Even if it is on or not

then I have no idea what's going on

from recollection, that's how my mobo+W10 worked - I don't use it since I find it asinine to have to boot to Windows to get back into BIOS

Yea, can you imagine if heaven forbid, your Windows installation breaks and can no longer boot. :P Just wasn't a good concept to begin with.

you'd have to reset the BIOS - and that's nuts

You don't have the option, because your UEFI is set to legacy BIOS mode. So it emulated the old BIOS.

You can't switch that without doing a complete drive format and re-install of the OS, as your need to convert your drive from MBR to GPT, and the layout of partitions is different.

Now if you UEFI has a bug, where you can enable Fast boot (as in actual Fast boot of UEFI, and not "Fast Boot" form BIOS days.. confusing I know), and UEFI is set to BIOS mode, then you are screwed.

BUT! Check if your motherboard has a button to boot your system from off state directly to the UEFI. This might be your savior.

If not, check if your motherboard has a utility for Windows that gives you the option to restart to your UEFI.

Another thing you can try (assuming you tried the key to go to the UEFI with your keyboard), is to do a clear CMOS (refer to motherboard manual as each motherboard is different).

Oh and by the way, did you simply try a different keyboard? Plug a basic primitive keyboard on a USB port under Windows, make sure it works, and do Start > Power button > Shutdown. Once off, now start it back on, and hit repeatedly the "boot to UEFI/BIOS" key (refer to your motherboard manual to know which key it is). Some power hungry keyboard might cause issues with some motherboard (or the key you need to press is broken)

No. I can still access BIOS by F2 on startup. Fast boot does not resolve my problem and obviously reinstall OS is not an option. I don't access BIOS much so I guess I will just F2 it then. It's just I want to boot Windows quickly (setting POST to minimal so I don't have to wait) and when I want to access BIOS I can just go to settings. Yeah.

just read this entire post quickly so forgive me if I misread.
Post a picture of the setting of the booting options IN your UEFI bios

I want stuff like secureboot configuration, bios or uefi or both, boot priority, legacy settings and anything that looks relavent

Also have you tried both rebootintobios options
1. hold shift+restart
2. somewhere in control panel>updates>recovery or something (Im still on win7)

Ok. So either your computer is old and is BIOS based system (like mine... I have a Core i7 930, or some Sandy Bridge Intel based motherboard, as this is where UEFI started), or your UEFI but set as Legacy mode. In both cases, it is normally that the option is not there in Windows, and why Fast Boot isn't working.

So, based on that, your system is working as configured/expected.

Weird ,because it worked before the Anniversary update
