MOtherboard and psu

Hello guys I'm assembling a gaming cpu. I've choosen the following parts. 1) intel i7 6700. 2) WD cavier blue 1 tb 7200rpm hard disk. 3) Kingston HyperX fury black 8gb ddr4 2133mhz RAM. 4) Motherboard is yet to be decided. 5) PSU also not decided. My combined budget for both the PSU and motherboard is exactly 285 American dollars. In that i want the psu as well motherboard. Plz suggest me the best in my given budget.Thank...

If your CPU is a non-k skew i7 6700 then any motherboard will work fine with it. If it's a 6700k then you want a Z170 board so you can overclock it. A case would be nice to know so we know what form factor you're using. Same goes for the PSU.

For PSU as long as it is a decent brand/type the 500-650W is more then enough even if you had an 1080. Lower will work but would draw the line by 400W modulair cables and available cabels can become problematic depending on needs.

 

Talking about 1080, I asume you gonna use your current card?  Will kinda need a GPU for decent gaming.

 

For CPU waht above poster said.

 

Don't you have/ want a SSD? Would preffer a SSD over a HDD anyday :)
