Installing Dual disk game without cd drive

Go to solution Solved by swordsman247,

If you make an iso file you can mount it and run it as a virtual disk. Windows 10 supports this by default otherwise you'll need some software to do it like Daemon tools.

Hi, so I'm trying to install FSX on my computer that does not have a CD drive. I where able to install disk 1 by copying it to a USB then installing it. Now it asks for disk 2, I named the secound USB to FSX Disk 2 and it accepted it and when on. then It asked for it again and this time It doesent work. Is there a way I can emulate the USB to be a CD ? or a diffrent way to install FSX to my computer (I have a laptop with CD drive)

It did not work, tho I tryed to just create a folder and add all files from DISK 1 to it, then DISK 2 and not overwrite, seems to have worked. Dident ask for Disk 2. and Where able to finish the installation

How did you make the ISO?  IMGBURN works well for this if you need a utility http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

Then flash the iso files over and mount disk 1 then 2 when it ask for them, should work I used to do this with fable on windows xp.

You can use other software like PowerISO to make you're ISO. That will allow you to create the image, but then you need to mount it. I generally use Elbysoft's Virtual Sheep Emulator.

Do you not have a CD drive around? You can use one from another desktop or a laptop, and connect it with SATA data and power connectors in the mean time. (Assuming it's a desktop)

I used ubuntu to create the iso and just mounted it with windows 10. No I had one but it where broken so I where out of that option and I don't really plan on using CD's anymore (got all FSX disks on a flash drive now)

Awesome, we'll enjoy it! Glad you got it to work! Does the game require you to have the CD to play?

No luckly It's only to install :)
